Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each domain name extension has its own rules of how long you can renew it for. The most common domain names used in the UK are: .co.uk \/ uk \/ and .com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The maximum time these domains can be registered for is 10 years and can never exceed this time. For example, if you decide to renew your domain name 2 years early to secure the name for longer, the maximum time would then be 8 years, to make it up to 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Navigate to our website names.co.uk<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Once on the website, choose \u201cLog in\u201d <\/strong>found on the top right-hand side of the page and log into your Online Control Panel. If you need assistance with this, please follow this guide<\/a><\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step Two<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once you have successfully logged into your Online Control Panel, navigate to the \u201cBilling\u201d<\/strong> tab and from the drop-down menu choose \u201cRenewals\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step Three<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Billing \u2013 Renewals page will show your renewals and what the current renewal term is set to. However, if you choose the drop-down list, you can then renew your domain name for longer. If the option is not available, this will mean the domain name extension or package you are currently on, only allows a set renewal period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
