Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From time to time a domain name or new business venture doesn\u2019t work out as planned, so we have created a way to cancel a domain name through your Online Control Panel. This guide will show you how to do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Navigate to our website names.co.uk<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Once on the website, choose \u201cLog in\u201d <\/strong>found on the top right-hand side of the page and log into your Online Control Panel. If you need assistance with this, please follow this guide<\/a><\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step Two<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once you have successfully logged into your Online Control Panel, navigate to the \u201cBilling\u201d<\/strong> tab and from the drop-down menu choose \u201cRenewals\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step Three<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The page that loads will show the \u201cBilling \u2013 Renewals\u201d <\/strong>area \u2013 from here you can see the renewals that are due soon and you can also choose \u201cAll Renewals\u201d.<\/strong> If you choose \u201cAll Renewals\u201d<\/strong> now you will be able to choose which domain name you would like to cancel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step Four<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you find the domain name you are looking to cancel and click the \u201cOFF\u201d<\/strong> toggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step Five<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    You will be greeted with another page which will say \u201cSet this product to expire\u201d <\/strong>and it will give you the date it will not renew on, if you tick this option and choose \u201cConfirm\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The domain name will remain active on your account until the expiration date. After this date it will shortly drop out of your billing and out of your account. If you do change your mind and decide to renew the domain name, then please call our customer care team on 0345 363 3633 who can try and recover this domain name for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you decide to keep this domain name you can also change the toggle button back to \u201cON\u201d to allow it to automatically renew or you can renew the service at any time by following the guide here<\/a><\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
