For more information on Thunderbird, please visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/products\/thunderbird\">https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\/en-US\/products\/thunderbird<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Setting up an Exchange account in Thunderbird is slightly different to other email clients, as you have to setup the account manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If this is the first email account setup on Thunderbird it will automatically open up a welcome window, where you will need to select&nbsp;<strong>Skip this and use my existing email<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/thunderbirdexchangefirststep.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you already have an existing account in Thunderbird, you will need to do the following to open up&nbsp;<strong>Account Settings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right click on an existing account and select&nbsp;<strong>Settings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/thunderbirdexchangesettings.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the next screen select&nbsp;<strong>Account Actions<\/strong>, and then&nbsp;<strong>Add Mail Account.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/thunderbirdexchangeaddmailaccount.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Account Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your&nbsp;<strong>Name<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Email Address<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Password<\/strong>&nbsp;in the boxes, and click&nbsp;<strong>Continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/thunderbirdexchangemailaccountsetup.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Thunderbird will then attempt to locate the correct settings for the email account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However these will be incorrect and you will need to select&nbsp;<strong>Manual config.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/thunderbirdexchangemanualconfig.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need to enter the same information displayed in the image below. (Of course the incoming and outgoing usernames will remain as your email address.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/thunderbirdexchanemanualsetup2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have filled in the correct settings, click&nbsp;<strong>Done<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure that you send from your new account please navigate to&nbsp;<strong>Outgoing Server (SMTP)<\/strong>&nbsp;and select the new SMTP account, which will have the server address&nbsp;<strong>smtp.office365.com<\/strong>.
