Firstly click on the <strong>Options<\/strong> button in the bottom left and an option for <strong>Export all subfolders <\/strong>will appear. Click on the <strong>Finder <\/strong>icon in the bottom left<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"374\" height=\"525\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-43.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3551\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-43.png 374w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-43-214x300.png 214w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-43-36x50.png 36w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 374px) 100vw, 374px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then click on <strong>Documents<\/strong> on the left of the screen and you should see a file called inbox.mbox as shown below<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"487\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-44-1024x487.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3552\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-44-1024x487.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-44-300x143.png 300w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-44-768x365.png 768w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-44-50x24.png 50w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-44.png 1437w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You have now backed up your mailbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2 &#8211; Removing your mail account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As long as you are confident that you have followed <strong>Step 1<\/strong> correctly, you can now remove your mailbox from your system. In the <strong>Mail<\/strong> application, right click on the account you wish to remove as shown below and then click <strong>Delete Mailbox<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First ensure that you have the mail application open. Then click on the <strong>Mail<\/strong> button in the top left of the screen. Then a drop down list will appear. Click on the <strong>Preferences <\/strong>option that becomes visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"282\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-17.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-17.png 282w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-17-245x300.png 245w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-17-41x50.png 41w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 282px) 100vw, 282px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A new window will open where you can select the account that you wish to edit. Upon clicking on the account you will see that it is highlighted. Next click on the<strong> &#8211; <\/strong>symbol at the bottom left of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"280\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-45.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3553\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-45.png 280w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-45-123x300.png 123w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-45-20x50.png 20w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This will bring up a screen asking if you are sure you want to remove the account. Click on <strong>OK <\/strong>and this will remove the account and <strong>All Content<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 &#8211; Adding an account with modern auth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, ensure the mail application is open and click on <strong>Mail<\/strong> in the top left of the screen and then <strong>Add Account<\/strong> as shown below<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"426\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-46.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-46.png 426w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-46-222x300.png 222w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-46-37x50.png 37w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 426px) 100vw, 426px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A new window will now appear within your <strong>Mail <\/strong>app asking you to <strong>Choose a Mail account provider. <\/strong>Click on <strong>Microsoft Exchange <\/strong>and then <strong>Continue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"818\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-48.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3556\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-48.png 818w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-48-300x244.png 300w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-48-768x625.png 768w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-48-50x41.png 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 818px) 100vw, 818px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This will then prompt you to fill out your exchange account details. Enter these and hit <strong>Sign In<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"784\" height=\"438\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-49.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3557\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-49.png 784w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-49-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-49-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-49-50x28.png 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 784px) 100vw, 784px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An new screen will now appear. <strong>Don&#8217;t<\/strong> click on <strong>Configure manually<\/strong> and instead hit <strong>Sign In<\/strong>. This step is where the account authentication is decided and clicking <strong>Configure Manually <\/strong>will attempt to set it up using Basic Auth which is no longer functional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-50-1024x340.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-50-1024x340.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-50-300x100.png 300w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-50-768x255.png 768w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-50-50x17.png 50w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-50.png 1060w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will then be able to add your details. Once added you can then click on <strong>Done<\/strong> and it will add your account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4 &#8211; Re-importing Mailbox Content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You will now need to import the mailbox back into mac mail. Firstly, ensure that the <strong>Mail <\/strong>app open. Then click on <strong>File<\/strong> and <strong>Import Mailboxes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"562\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-59.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-59.png 562w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-59-280x300.png 280w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-59-47x50.png 47w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 562px) 100vw, 562px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon clicking on this, the following screen will appear. Ensure that the option for <strong>Files in mbox format<\/strong> is selected and then click <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-60-1024x779.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3571\" width=\"513\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-60-1024x779.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-60-300x228.png 300w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-60-768x584.png 768w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-60-50x38.png 50w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-60.png 1130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 513px) 100vw, 513px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will now be shown the file explorer screen. Select the file you wish to import into your mail client and then click <strong>Choose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"729\" height=\"404\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-61.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3572\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-61.png 729w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-61-300x166.png 300w, https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-61-50x28.png 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 729px) 100vw, 729px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After this you will be presented with a screen informing you that this has been imported then hit <strong>Done<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can now move the files within the mail application. The new mailbox will appear under <strong>Import<\/strong> on the left menu.
