(All models)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_1284.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:609px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, scroll down the screen until you find Accounts &amp; Passwords and select this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Accounts &amp; Passwords menu, select Add Account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_1286.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:609px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the account types select the option &#8216;Other&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_1286.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:609px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Select Add Mail Account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_1288.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:609px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your account information;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong> &#8211; this is the name which will appear in your email recipients inbox when you send them an email, so this can be your own name or you might want to enter your company name here.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong> &#8211; Enter the email address you want your emails to be sent from.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong> &#8211; This should be the password you have set for your email mailbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong> &#8211; This can be anything you like, it only serves to differentiate between multiple accounts you have setup on the phone\/tablet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_1289.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:609px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the top of the screen, ensure that the POP option is selected (if it&#8217;s blue, it&#8217;s selected).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_1291.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:281px;height:609px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your incoming server details;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Host Name<\/strong> &#8211; this should be set to pop3.hosts.co.uk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Username<\/strong> &#8211; This will be your mailbox username.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong> &#8211; This should already be filled in from when you entered it on the previous screen but you can update it here if you need to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the outgoing server information;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Host Name<\/strong> &#8211; If you have our Authenticated SMTP enter smtp.hosts.co.uk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Username<\/strong> &#8211; Enter the domain name these emails are to be sent from<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong> &#8211; Enter the Authenticated SMTP password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Press next in the top right of the screen and the account should then be ready to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nco-info-block\"><p class=\"nco-info-block-content\"><strong>Important Note \u2013 Moving from POP3 to IMAP<\/strong><br><br>Switching an email account from <strong>POP3<\/strong> to <strong>IMAP<\/strong> changes how your emails are <strong>stored<\/strong>, <strong>synchronised<\/strong>, and <strong>deleted<\/strong>.<br><br>With <strong>IMAP<\/strong>, emails remain stored on the <strong>mail server<\/strong> and are mirrored across <strong>all devices<\/strong>. Any action taken in one location \u2014 such as <strong>deleting<\/strong>, <strong>moving<\/strong>, or <strong>organising<\/strong> messages \u2014 will automatically apply everywhere. Deleting an email on your phone, for example, will also delete it from your desktop and <strong>webmail<\/strong>.<br><br>Under <strong>POP3<\/strong>, emails are downloaded to a <strong>single device<\/strong> and can be <strong>removed from the server<\/strong>. Deleting a message only affects that device, which can create differences between devices but also prevents global deletion.<br><br>Changing from a <strong>POP3 connection to IMAP will result in existing locally stored emails not being present on the server<\/strong>, and messages can be <strong>permanently deleted or lost if they are not backed up beforehand<\/strong>, depending on how the email client is configured.<br><br>To prevent <strong>permanent data loss<\/strong>, you <strong>must create a full backup of your mailboxes before making this change<\/strong>.
