For more information please contact our Sales team on 0345 363 3632.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If this is the first email account setup on Thunderbird it will take you straight into the account settings where you will need to select&nbsp;<strong>Skip this and use my existing email<\/strong>&nbsp;If this is the case please skip straight to&nbsp;<strong>Account Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird1.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If it is not the first email account you will need to do the following to get to account settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right click on an existing account and select&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird5.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the next screen select&nbsp;<strong>Account Actions<\/strong>&nbsp;then&nbsp;<strong>Add Mail Account&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird11.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Account Settings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your name, email address, and password in the boxes and click&nbsp;<strong>Continue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the next page click&nbsp;<strong>Manual Config<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird3.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Your name, email address, and password will already be filled in for you. Please fill in the server settings as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Incoming Type &#8211; IMAP<\/li><li>Incoming mail server &#8211; imap.hosts.co.uk<\/li><li>Outgoing mailserver (SMTP) &#8211; your SMTP server will be&nbsp;<strong>smtp.hosts.co.uk<\/strong>&nbsp;only if you your have purchased Authenticated SMTP Access, if you need to purchase this product please contact our Sales team on 0345 363 363 2<\/li><li>User Name and Password &#8211; Your Username and Password are as you have set up in your Online Control Panel, if you are unsure of your Username and or Password please see this guide to reset your Password,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/articles\/how-to-change-your-email-password\/\">How to change your email password<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once this is complete please click&nbsp;<strong>Done<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird4.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we just need to enter your SMTP login details, so right click on your account and select&nbsp;<strong>Settings&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird5.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Select&nbsp;<strong>Outgoing Server (SMTP)<\/strong>&nbsp;then select&nbsp;<strong>Edit&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird6.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your SMTP User Name, as you have set up in your Online Control Panel, if you are unsure of your Username and or Password please see this guide to reset your Password,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/articles\/how-to-reset-your-authenticated-smtp-password\/\">How to reset your SMTP password<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird7.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we need to compose a new email to prompt Thunderbird to ask for the Outgoing (SMTP) password, to do this click&nbsp;<strong>Write<\/strong>, enter your email address, add a subject and some body text, then click&nbsp;<strong>Send<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird8.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When the box appears click&nbsp;<strong>Enter New Password<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird9.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your SMTP password, tick the box to remember your password and click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>, if you are unsure of your Username and or Password please see this guide to reset your Password,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/articles\/how-to-reset-your-authenticated-smtp-password\/\">How to reset your SMTP password<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/tbird10.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article will guide you through configuring your email on Thunderbird If you require further assistance setting up your emails then why not consider our new KickStarter service.
