Setting up an Autoresponders

- You can set up Auto responders in WebMail, this feature of WebMail is ideal if you want your Email contacts to know that it may be a while before you read or respond to them or if you just simply want everyone that Emails you know you have received their Email.

- To set up your auto responder, select 'Settings' from the top right hand corner of WebMail.

- From the 'Settings' column on the far left hand side, select Autoresponder.

- Under the heading of 'Message Status', you'll have the option to 'Enable autoresponder', which is essentially the choice to have this response active or not to have it active, select as applicable.

- Beneath the 'Message interval' heading, you can determine the frequency of the automated responses:

  • Any - If one person sends you 5 Emails per day, this option will send an automated response to that person for each of the Emails they send to you.
  • 1 Hour - If one person sends you 5 Emails per day, but all within a one hour period this option will send just one automated response to that person, if they send the 5 Emails each at one hour intervals, they will receive 5 automated responses.
  • 1 Day - If one person sends you 5 Emails throughout the day, they will only receive one automated response regardless of the intervals.
  • 7 Days - If one person sends you 5 Emails per day, every day of the week for 7 days, they will only receive one automated response, if they continue to send more on the following week they will receive one more automated response and so on.

- In the 'Message' area you can set the message text, the content of the automated response that is sent to your contact, where "SUBJECT" adopts whichever subject the Email sender wrote to you about, so if they simply wrote a subject of 'Birthday party', the response they receive back be regarding this and the 'TO' field would give your name. Further down the Email you'll see it says 'Dear FROM', this is where WebMail will automatically fill in the name of the person that Emailed you.

- When you're happy you have completed setting up your autoresponder, press 'Save'.
