Storage Systems Upgrade |
| As part of our ongoing commitment to increasing the performance, reliability and scalability of our shared hosting platform, Namesco Ltd will be carrying out routine maintenance overnight on 9th/10th July 2009. This work will start at Midnight and is expected to last until the early hours of the morning. Customers should experience minimal disruption although performance on the shared-hosting platform may be slightly slower than usual. We will keep you updated of any changes to this routine maintenance on this page. | |

SiteMaker : Performance problems
Update 12:46 PM - The SiteMaker performance problems have now been resolved and we would like to apologise once again for any inconvenience this temporary service disruption may have caused.
We are aware that websites using our SiteMaker service may currently be experiencing performance problems - this will also be affecting the SiteMaker editing tools in the control panel.
Our engineers are investigating this as a priority and we apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing affected customers.

Users with hosting on the legacy Register365 platform may currently be experiencing performance issues with the H-Sphere control panel interface at http://cp.hosting365.ie

Namesco: Email Duplication
Some Namesco customers may be experiencing temporary issues with email collection. Symptoms include customers' email applications downloading mail they have already received.
Once the mail has been downloaded, it will not subsequently be downloaded again.

Register 365: web20.hosting365.ie
Update 8:03 PM - Maintenance work on web20.hosting365.ie has now been completed. The server is now live and serving web sites as normal.
Again please accept our sincerest apologies for an inconvenience caused during this period.
Update 5:59 PM - Our engineers are continuing to perform maintenance on the server.

Update 3:56 PM - We have no further information at this time - this maintenance is still ongoing as previously outlined.

Update 1:55 PM - Following further investigation it has now become apparent that the server, web20.hosting365.ie, needs to be taken offline at 1400BST. We apologise for the short notice however this work is essential to ensure the continued smooth operation of the server.
Regrettably, we are unable to provide an ETA for the completion of this work.
Customers hosted on web20.hosting365.ie may be experiencing issues with the speed at which their sites are responding.
Our engineers are investigating the issue and hope to have it resolved shortly.

Register365: Planned Maintenence to Web Servers

Some customers hosted on the legacy Register365 platform may experience a temporary outage on some sites overnight tonight (18th May 2009 after 21:00hrs) due to routine maintenance.

Register365: Planned Maintenence to Database Servers
Update 18 May 09 3:09 PM - We are pleased to announce that this work has been carried out as planned and with minimal disruption to the systems involved.
Thank you for your patience whilst this work was completed.
On Monday 18th May 2009, it will be necessary to reboot the register365 database servers to ensure that they are running the latest software.
The servers will be rebooted at the times listed below and we do not envisiage the outage taking more than one hour per server.

Update 5:15 PM - This work has now been completed, thank you for your patience.
There will be a short outage for webmail.hosting365.ie and imp.hosting365.ie at 17:00 hours this evening for essential maintenence.
We do not expect this outage to last longer than one hour.

Register365: web20 scheduled downtime
Update 3:59 PM - This scheduled maintenance has now completed on schedule and full service has been restored.
The web server web20.hosting365.ie will be rebooted as part of scheduled maintenance at 1500 hours today (14th May 2009).
During this time any sites hosted on this server will be unavailable. We do not expect this downtime to be any longer than one hour.

Register365: Web19 Linux Shared Hosting Server

Earlier today, our network administration team identified an
intermittent fault concerning one of the Linux web hosting servers -
web19.hosting365.ie
We will be taking the server offline at 12.30pm today (13th May 2009)
for essential maintenance and anticipate bringing the server back
online within the next 24 hours.
Whilst we have no confirmed ETA for the affected services to be
reinstated, we will post updates here every two hours.

ASP.Net disabling debug
We have noticed a number of sites that have been uploaded to our production servers that have debugging enabled. We will be disabling this setting for all sites found on these servers with it turned on.
The "debug" option is intended to be used during the development process, and when enabled can incur a significant performance overhead. - 20 Apr 09

Serve360 Hosting
Update 22 Apr 09 11:41 AM -
An email containing the details of your new hosting account on Namesco's
award-winning and fully-redundant Windows hosting cluster in the highly
regarded Telehouse data centre in London has been sent out this morning to
all Serve360 customers.
This email requires you to perform certain actions, all of which will
have a positive effect on your overall hosting experience. You will be
required to:
- Upload the content of your website to a new location
- Recreate your MySql Database
- Amend your database connection
- Amend DNS if domain is not registered through Namesco
It is therefore essential that you read this email and follow the
required actions and instructions. By doing so you will benefit straight
away from the improved service levels that Namesco offer.
The Legacy Serve360 server has now been taken offline, while we investigate the
recent issues with the server.
We apologise for the downtime and any inconvenience this may have caused
you.

We are in the process of moving all these sites to our Windows cluster in London. All affected site owners should receive an email within the next 24 hours advising of further details about this new hosting.
We are aware of a problem with unauthorised content on websites for customers using hosting services originally purchased through Serve360
Our engineers are currently investigating this and further updates will be posted on our network status page.
This only affects Serve360 customers.

Register365: MySQL
Update 12:14pm: The server has now been successfully restarted
MySQL server unixdb4.hosting365.ie, which serves sql4.hosting365.ie and sql6.hosting365.ie is currently running a repair on all databases after the MySQL service terminated. Once complete, the server will be available again as normal.

Database server reboot tonight
Update:
The work has been carried out, and mysql4.namesco.net is now back up.
The database server 'mysql4.namesco.net' will be rebooted this evening around 23:30. It should be down only briefly while it reboots. This is to install security updates and patches. - 04 Apr 09

Broadband Pipe Fault
Update 06 Apr 09 7:21 AM - Service was restored to the remaining users at 03:00 this morning. We apologise for the inconvenience for the exceptional circumstances this weekend.

We advise customers on the above realms to power cycle their routers. If you are having difficulty switch off the router for 15 minutes and power on again.

Update 05 Apr 09 9:14 AM - Our supplier has confirmed that the fault was caused due to a construction contractor boring through a deep cabling tunnel, causing damage to a main fibre route in East London. Safety and structural engineers have been on site overnight to assess the damage to the tunnel and begin repairs and technical engineers are doing everything they can to temporarily re-route services via other paths.
Our supplier considers this a major incident and are using all and every resource to restore service as quickly as possible, however due to the complex nature they are unable to confirm a restoration time for us at this time.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but would like to assure customers that this is being treated with the highest levels of importance and urgency. We will post additional information as it becomes available.
Update 5:19 PM - Our supplier is still conducting their investigative and repair work. There is a possibility of cable damage and therefore due to the nature of the repair, work is likely to continue into the evening. We will post additional information when it becomes available.
Update 2:58 PM - The supplier has confirmed an incident with a fibre optic connection between two buildings beginning at 14:30. It is affecting a number of service providers and they have dispatched engineers to investigate and repair. We will post additional information when it becomes available.
Our wholesale supplier currently has a fault on their network affecting one of our broadband pipe connections to them resulting in an outage for broadband users with usernames ending in:

Serve360
Update 07 Apr 09 2:57 PM - Our engineers have completed work on the server and have had to insert Namesco holding page on some of the sites hosted on this server.
If your website has the default Namesco holding page, we would request that you reupload your site from your local backup.
An email has been set to customers who have contacted us with regards to sites being offline.
Update 06 Apr 09 10:40 AM - Our engineers are still carrying out unplanned maintenance on the Serve360 servers. We will update this system status page as soon as we have more information.

Online Control Panel
Update 9:40 am - This issue is now resolved.
We are currently investigating an issue with the Services section within the Namesco control panel. As a result a handful of users will temporarily not be able to access this section.
Our System Administrators are investigating this as a priority and aim to restore this service as soon as possible.

Namesco File Manager
Please be advised that access to the File Manager tool located within the Namesco control panel is currently unavailable due to routine maintenance.
Customers wishing to use the built in file Manager tool are advised to use FTP while this work is carried out.

Mysql4.namesco.net failure
Update 12:59 PM - This process has now completed and all databases should be online as per normal. If you are still experiencing problems, please submit a support ticket from your online Control Panel with full details of the problem.
Update 12:36 PM - Service was restored a couple of hours ago, with databases being restored currently. This process should be finished within a couple more hours.
There has been a catastrophic disk failure on the mysql4.namesco.net database server. We are currently restoring data from a backup on to another server and we will bring it back on line as soon as possible.
